Aurora Self Catering Units is situated on the hills of Aurora, Durbanville, and is within easy daily reach of both Cape Town's Waterfront or the wine routes of Paarl and Stellenbosch. Our units are all fully equipped and each unit has its own bathroom and kitchen facilities. Each unit has colour TV with M-net. Our guests return year after year as they enjoy our affordable, clean and safe accommodation in a beautiful setting.
We are close to the Durbanville and Welgemoed golf courses, or if you love shopping then the very upmarket Tyger Valley Centre is only 7 km's away, or you may want to visit Cape Town's biggest shopping centre, Canal Walk. If you plan your vacation ahead, there will be such a lot to discover and do around the Peninsula, such as a drive to Cape Point, the most southern tip of the Peninsula.
On your way there you can stop at the very scenic harbour at Kalk Bay to have a look at the fishing activities and stroll along the Main Road where there are interesting antique shops. A little further you can stop at Boulders Beach to see the Penguins.
Before you reach Cape Point, say hi to the baboons next to the road. On your way back, take the other route which will bring you into Hout Bay via Chapman's Peak. In Hout Bay you can visit the harbour and have something fishy for lunch.
An absolute must is Table Mountain. You may go for the easy option and take the cable car, or climb to the top yourself. The Waterfront is also a very popular place for tourists, with many restaurants, boat trips in the harbour, shopping centres and an aquarium.
